About Act in the A.C.T

With the task of using the power of type to bring awareness towards an underrepresented group or culture and unite the world with them, Monotype took its aim on the Australian Parliament. With the Australian same-sex marriage postal vote results with Parliament, they were the perfect group to focus on. The future of same-sex couples was is in the hands of the Australian government.

Using type to generate awareness towards the power that Parliament holds this campaign encouraged the public to get behind parliament and encourage them to Act in the ACT and just say “YES”. And was born the “Yes” typeface, a typeface that just says yes no matter how you look at it. 

The public could download the typeface and craft their own poster and artwork to use to help raise the message.
